How to ask and give directions in Spanish?
Understanding, asking and giving directions to other people when we are in a country where Spanish is spoken is something very useful and necessary.
It is very common to be in a new place and lose or not know how to find a specific place.
Therefore, this post will help you to ask for directions if necessary, understand the addresses that other people tell you and also be able to give another person directions on how to get to a place. Are you ready? Ahead!
To ask for directions:

– Excuse me / sorry, how are you going to… (Prado Museum)?
– Excuse me / excuse me, where is … (El Retiro Park)?

To understand and give directions:

Addresses (form you) ⬇️
– FOLLOW → Continue (all) straight on the street until … (the traffic light, the crossing, the park, the end, the square, Rioja street etc.)

– CONTINUE → Continue along the street / avenue… (p. 12)
– ROTATE → Turn right / left.
– TORCER → Twist to the right / to the left.
– CROSS → Crossing … (the park, the street, etc.)
– COGER → Take the… (first, second, third etc.) street on the right / left.
– TAKE → Take the … (first, second, third etc.) street on the right / left.
